Gordon Ramsay’s New ‘Idiot Sandwich’ Cooking Show is Mouthwatering Mayhem

It’s no secret that the Man of Many team loves their food, whether it’s fancy or fried. And taking our audience on tasty adventures has become a real passion, especially through our hit series Monday Munchies. However, what thas really galvenised our group is a shared love for the sandwich.

Situated in the heart of Sydney, we’ve explored sandwich spots all around, almost becoming obsessed with finding the best venue. So, when we caught wind that our favourite foul-mouthed chef, Gordon Ramsay, had a new show based around his iconic “idiot sandwich” meme, we couldn’t resist giving it a go. And, to our delight, it lived up to the hype.

Ramsay premiered his latest series, Idiot Sandwich, on his YouTube channel today. The show features a unique culinary competition where guests are pitted against each other to craft the ultimate sanga. Drawing inspiration from one of Ramsay’s iconic insults, where he placed a contestant’s head between two slices of bread and dubbed them an “idiot sandwich,” the series showcases a roster of celebrities vying to create the perfect combination of flavours. Ramsay serves as the judge, crowning the best effort.

In the first episode, some heavyweight food influencers took centre stage, as Rhett & Link from Good Mythical Morning and Josh from Mythical Kitchen engaged in a heated bread showdown. The 13-minute spectacle delivered on all fronts, featuring the anticipated banter and crafting of mouthwatering sandwiches that left us salivating at our desks. Just a warning, it’s not the ideal show for those embarking on a New Year’s resolution diet and fitness plan.

According to Deadline, a lineup of internet celebrities is set to grace the new sandwich competition. Alongside the comedic duo Rhett & Link, the series will feature magician Zach King and social media influencer Lexi Hensler.

Ramsay shared his excitement about turning the viral moment into a new series, “It was incredible to watch that one tongue-in-cheek moment, turn into this huge, viral sensation. I’ve been thinking for a while about trying to find a smart way of turning the ‘Idiot Sandwich’ meme into its own series.”

He continued, “As an idea that exploded on the internet and across social media, there was no better way to bring this series to life, than having it air as a digital exclusive, have some fun and showcase the sandwich-making skills of some of the biggest influencers and content creators out there.”

Episodes of Idiot Sandwich are scheduled to drop weekly on Ramsay’s YouTube channel. Watch the first instalment above.
