Suntory BOSS Coffee

Truth be told, I am not very fun – I hardly drink, I don’t party and I obsessively count all of my calories. My life is an endless barrage of early evenings and fibre supplements; the symptoms of premature aging, but there is one vice that I refuse to give up. As a perennially tired millennial, I simply cannot function without 8-10 coffees per day. It’s relentless. Doesn’t matter the time, I will have a brew. Forget what the doctors tell you, my body is 70% coffee.
It’s an expensive habit too, but thankfully I’ve found an enabler to get my fix. BOSS Coffee, the Japanese canned brew that rocketed onto the scene a few years back, has been steadily fuelling my past month of productivity. The RTD format has significantly streamlined my operation as I now no longer need to wait for the coffee machine to heat up or the jug to boil. I simply reach into the dark recesses of the work fridge, pull out a colourful can of the Suntory BOSS Coffee Rainbow Mountain Blend and crack on with my day.
Alarmingly, I’m seemingly not alone in my love for RTD cold-brew coffee. Recent studies from BOSS have shown that 61% of Gen Z and 59% of Millennials have drunk more ready-to-drink iced coffee in the past 12 months than the Boomers (27%). Turns out I’m not so old after all. Whatever the case, I’m a big fan of the RTD coffee revolution and BOSS is easily the best on the market. 2024 Polestar 2

I recently had the chance to take the Polestar 2 for a spin and the experience left a lasting impression on me. Its design effortlessly marries contemporary Scandinavian design aesthetics with practical functionality. Striking a balance that eludes many automakers, the Polestar 2 manages to be modern without veering into the realm of sci-fi. It exudes a design that’s bold yet understated, minimalist but not bare – a masterclass in automotive styling. Driving it myself, after only having admired it from afar was a real treat.
The model I drove was the Long Range Single Motor variant, boasting a 655km range on paper. In real-world conditions, it impressively clocks well over 500km which is no small feat. The driving experience was smooth, and the interior felt both comfortable and premium. Two features particularly stood out: the infotainment system, with its 11.2-inch LCD centre display, simplifies the cockpit by replacing numerous traditional buttons. It runs on an Android system, thankfully avoiding the trap of custom but often cumbersome operating systems seen in other vehicles. The user interface is intuitive and the integration of Google Maps and responsive voice commands elevates the experience.
The second highlight was the one-pedal drive system. This is a feature found on most EVs that eliminates the ‘creep’ of the car and decelerates upon lifting the foot from the accelerator. But unlike many other EVs that can feel jerky and unrefined, the smooth tuning of the Polestar’s one-pedal drive is up there as the best that I’ve driven. The one-pedal drive system might seem unusual at first to those accustomed to traditional cars, but it quickly becomes intuitive, making you question why we haven’t always driven this way. Coupling this with a swift 0-100km/h in just 6.2 seconds and some of the best tech on the market, the Polestar 2 offers an effortless and enjoyable driving experience.

It is a true pleasure to work for a lifestyle publication whilst simultaneously being an enthusiastic member of its audience. Man of Many just speaks to me. As I approach the big 3-0, I have been following the societal norms of getting into golf and smoking meat. However, the one thing that I didn’t plan on is my sudden obsession with skincare. As I clutch onto my 20s glow, the daily skincare routine has evolved into a habitual part of my day.

For you long-time readers, you’ll know I’m a big F45 fan. There’s something about just being able to rock up and not have to plan or think about your workout while someone screams at you. I’ve been using the Reebok Nano X3’s to train so was elated to get to try out the new iteration of “the Official Shoe of Fitness”, the Reebok Nano X4. They’re supposed to be more breathable and lightweight but the thing I’m most excited about is the new colourway in bright orange.

My house was busier than Santa’s workshop over the holidays, having hosted three back-to-back parties with family and friends over the Christmas weekend. While this meant non-stop cooking, entertaining, and cleaning, we were never short of Christmas joy and merriment. The Holdovers is one of the best movies I’ve seen in quite some time. Pack some tissues, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions, producing big laughs and even a few tears (at least for me). Through an underlying comedic lens, it skillfully navigates universal themes of grief, the past, family, and identity, challenging your emotions (and perhaps past decisions) throughout. What sets the film apart is its originality, evident in a captivating script and beautiful cinematography. However, it doesn’t overplay its hand, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the 70s time period it depicts.
While every actor delivers a noteworthy performance, Paul Giamatti steals the spotlight, showcasing his talent in what is arguably Alexander Payne’s finest work since Sideways. His performance rightfully earned him the Golden Globe. Moreover, the film’s clever one-liners make a strong case for it being the best Christmas film ever made—sorry, Grinch. The Holdovers is a true gem that combines emotional depth, originality, and holiday charm, making it a must-watch for any cinephile.
